Working Student (f/m): Technology Development
Internationalization
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Technology Development Core Internationalization team creates infrastructure and check
tools and guidelines to ensure that SAP® software can be used anywhere in the world.
A current focus is Unicode, a globally uniform character set that covers all languages, and one
of our primary tasks is to support our customers who are converting their systems to Unicode.
We develop programs in ABAP™ (for preparation) and in Java and C (for conversion). The
programs are continuously improved and released to customers within short cycles. To
guarantee the reliability of the programs, we test them intensively and automatically.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You support us in the development, improvement, maintenance and execution of the testing
suite that we use for automatic testing of our Unicode conversion programs.
You work in the ABAP and UNIX environment, execute our Unicode Conversion Test Suite,
check and analyze the results, classify the errors and improve the tools.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Student (f/m) of a university or university of applied sciences
Preferred fields of study: Computer science, mathematics, physics or related engineering field
Familiarity with the Unix environment
Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C, ABAP or Perl
Good German skills and basic in English
Teamplayer
Engagement and self-management
