von Zeit zu Zeit habe ich eine Arbeit die ich für so interessant halte
dass Sie für die Liste geeignet ist. Die unten beschriebene Arbeit
könnte man vom Umfang her als Bachelor- oder Diplomarbeit entweder für
drei oder sechs Monate auslegen. Mich selbst interessiert das Thema
sehr, so dass ich intensive Unterstützung leisten würde.

Fast fluid-dynamics simulations for games
Computergames have become highly realistic due to fast rendering
pipelines which can render graphics even on a per-pixel basis. In
order to immerse the player into a plausible 3D world a realistic
behavior of the environment is increasingly moving into the scope of
game programmers. The behavior of fluids and smoke can be part of a
virtual environment and it can greatly enhance realism and immersion
into the game. However, most of these phenomena are still "faked" by
animated textures which have inherent limitations. Within this thesis,
fast algorithms should be explored which simulate the movement of
fluids and smoke in a more physics-based way. The solution might by a
compromise between realism and the true simulation of the phenomenon.
Requirements: experience in Java or C++. The emphasis will not be on a
fancy user interface, all input and output can be kept
simple.
