Session 1
Advanced Programming Techniques in MATLAB
In this session you will gain an understanding of how different MATLAB
data types are stored in memory and how you can program in MATLAB to
use
memory efficiently. In recent versions, MATLAB introduced several new
programming concepts, including new function types. We will illustrate
and explore the usage and benefits of the various function types under
different conditions. You will learn how using the right function type
can lead to more robust and maintainable code. Demonstrations will show
you how to apply these techniques to problems that arise in typical
applications.
Highlights include:
- Memory handling in MATLAB
- Various function types

Session 2
Getting Started Using Optimization with MATLAB Products
Engineers and scientists across all major industries use optimization
to
find better solutions to their problems. This session highlights the
MATLAB optimization product offering, including Optimization Toolbox
and
Global Optimization Toolbox (formerly Genetic Algorithm and Direct
Search Toolbox). It summarizes the capabilities of each product and
discusses the benefits of running your optimizations from the MATLAB
environment. Product demonstrations show how our tools can be used to
find solutions to real-world optimization problems, while also
introducing new and experienced users to best practices for using
MATLAB
optimization products.

End of Session 2
Please forward this invitation to any colleagues who may be interested
in this event.
If you have any questions regarding the seminar please let us know. We
look forward to seeing you in Mannheim on May 24th.
Regards,
Andreas Himmeldorf
